1,400 SF addition, 2,700 SF remodel and 1000 SF Carriage House

This 1928 House in Boulder Colorado was carefully remodeled to keep its historical character while using the latest technologies for comfort and durability. The owners wanted to add a master suite, a guest bedroom, a gourmet kitchen and an outside entertainment area. Hydronic floor heating is used on the totality of its floor surface for quiet and efficient heating. It allowed to conceal the reduced size ducts that are mostly used for cooling. Two miles of Cat-5 Network cables and 5.1 A/V connections are now installed throughout the house.

The carriage house is a reflection of the main houses style with a contemporary touch. An on-demand tank less heating was used to save energy when the upper floor studio is not occupied.
